When getting ready to sell your home, it’s crucial to amp up your property’s “curb appeal.”  You only have one shot at a good first impression, and you want buyers jumping at the chance to buy your home!  Making a small investment by cleaning up the outward appearance of your home will most likely increase the number of offers you’ll receive.

It helps to view your home in the eyes of a potential buyer. What strikes you as needing some work around your yard?  Are the patio windows dirty or need a new paint job? Is there dead shrubbery lining the sidewalk? You’ll be surprised what a difference planting a few new bushes and flowers can make!  If the maintenance cost is adding up, make sure to primarily focus on the entryway and your front door. This is what will grab your buyer’s attention.

When a potential buyer schedules a showing of your house, make sure to open the drapes on all the windows to let the sunlight in.  Light a few fresh-scented candles and make sure everything is organized, clean and presentable. There is plenty you can do to spruce up the presentation of your home without spending a lot of money!
